Pink Perks

Pink blooms are starting to cover the Quince bushes. The limbs are caught up with a lot of grapevines and some volunteer tree seedlings making everything a rambling mess. I have got to cut them out this year before the quince bushes are overcome. The pink blooms scattered among all the bare branches are very pretty. I cut a bunch of them this year and put them in a vase for my office.

Sign of Spring

The Japanese Quince just started blooming last week. Last year it was almost in full bloom by January 15th…not sure if it was early last year or late this year, but a two month difference seems pretty drastic.
There are not many blooms at all this year and practically none on the larger bush by the road.
