Still Around

The coreopsis I planted came back again this year. It was still a small clump that didn’t spread much, so I bought a few more little four inch pots at the nursery this year to add around the ones I planted last year. I would like for these to spread out some and make a ground cover in this area but I don’t think it gets enough sun to be that aggressive. Maybe the soil needs more regular fertilizer here…just not sure…but it doesn’t seem to be the type of plant that spreads fast.
I planted some Shasta daisies next to them for some contrast. I hope they continue to do well. I like the small clumping leaves that grow near the ground and the spiky petals that bloom on long stems that grow above the foliage clump near the ground. when this plant is blooming, it is quite nice.
