Directions: Strawberries need good
garden soil and full sun. Loosen the soil to form mounds or rows 6"
high. Plant strawberries 12" apaprt, rows should be spaced 30" apart.
Plant so crowns are at the soil level - not too deep - and spred roots
out. Firm soil around plants and water well. Keep soil moist during the
growing season.
In cold climates, strawberries need
protections. When the temperature
drops below freezing, cover beds with straw or leaves. When growth
begins in the spring, remove the covering form the plants using it as a
