I picked up this scraggly little freebee at the Master Gardener's Monthly meeting. The leaves are super soft like lambs ear. I think I may leave this in the pot. It won't flower until next year. I am curious to see how it looks. Crossing my fingers that it will survive.

:: Characteristics ::
Grayish leaves, soft and velvty to touch. Grows in a basal rosette the first year then gets a tall stem with yellow flowers. 2 - 8 ft.

Its roots are used for stomach problems, the leaves are smoked for bronchitis and the flowers (soaked in olive oil for 2 weeks) will take away the pain of an earache.
