05.22.06 ::Still
Blooming!
![]() The
lavender seems to be doing ok...it's a little leggy, but I am not sure
if that is normal or if it isn't getting enough sun. It is in filtered
sun not full. I have been
careful not to overwater it. It is startgin to thin out, but I
think
that is because of the extreme heat we are starting to have. I am just
goign to leave it alone and see what happens.
:: 02.15.06 :: Trying Again
The
Provence Lavender I bought last year never bloomed or increased in size
even though it seemed to live until the summer. I tried to keep
it watered, but I don't know if I over did it, lavender doesn't like a
lot of water or wet roots. So I am trying a different kind this year..."Fern Leaf" It's pretty. I bought it already in bloom and a I selected larger plants than i had last year. I also put it in a different spot. If it comes back after winter I will buy more of it. Tag:
Fern Leaf Lavender
Fragrant flowers and leaves. Attracts butterflies. Dried flowers and leaves are prized for potpourri. Winters well in containers indoors. Blooms year round in mild climates. .

:: 05.25.05 :: A New
Plant
I
decided to try planting soem lavender. I bought three of these to put
out, they aren't very big. This one has something stowed away in the
pot with it, so I got two plants for the price of
one. Now if I just knew what the other plant was....Purslane maybe?
...or some kind of sedum?![]() Tag: Provence Lavender Powerfully fragrant foliage and mauve-pink flowers provide a treat for the senses. Wonderful selection is certain to attract butterflies, too. Outstanding for planting near walkways, decks, and patios where scent can be enjoyed. Also popular in sachets and potpourri. flowers are great for drying. Prefers sandy well-drained soil. To dry flowers, cut before fully openand hang upside down in a cool, airy place. mulch to keep protect over winter. ![]() |
