  "Globe Thistle"

I really like these. My neighbor down the street has tons of the purple ones growing around her fence. Hers come back every year and get about 2-3ft. tall, they are in full sun.  She gave me some seeds in 2004 but they never propagated. I bought some nursery plants in 2005, both the white ones and the purple, and they did ok until winter but did not propagate and return in 2006…probably because they weren't getting as much sun. My plants never got more than 10-12 inches high.  I might try these again in the future since they really are pretty in a large grouping if you can get them going.
